Rupert Neve Master Buss Processor

It's been too long since I've posted on the mastering blog, so I thought I should tell everyone about some great new gear here at Terra Nova.

The new Rupert Neve Designs mastering compressor.

First on my list of new stuff is the Rupert Neve mastering compressor. They call it the Portico II Master Buss Processor.  Features include a compressor with all the controls you'd expect, a blend control for parallel compression, side-chain controls, a 'texture' knob for variable transformer saturation (2 different types), a one-knob limiter and a 'SFE' section with mid-side controls.  It has lots of features mastering engineers look for in a compressor and more; I'm beginning to use it every day. Over the last year, I've acquired several other new pieces of gear.  Among them a Benchmark DAC1, a Z-SYS z-16.16 digital patch bay and a new custom mastering desk.  Also, sometime soon the new TerraNovaMastering.com site will go up.  Looking forward to a great year at Terra Nova Mastering!
