I have exciting news this week!  The Sin City: A Dame To Kill For (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is released this week.  The movie premiered last week and I saw it yesterday.  After reading mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I though it was ok.

Monday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. Frank Erwin Center Austin, Texas George Strait, Dixie Chicks, Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Asleep at the Wheel, and special guests Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Christopher Cross, Texas Tornados, Randy Rogers and Terri Hendrix will perform at Fire Relief: The Concert for Central Texas Oct. 17 at the Frank Erwin Center. “Friday Night Lights” Emmy® award-winning actor Kyle Chandler will emcee along with writer, actor and director Turk Pipkin.

Due to Lack of Registrations We Will NOT be able to hold the Pickin' for the Record II Attempt which had been rescheduled for 26 June 2011

Despite FREE Registration for the past months we have fewer than 400 folks registered as of 23 May 2011 and this is simply not enough to make this effort succeed.

For me,  Ray Benson's Birthday Bash has become SXSW tradition.  It's one of my favorite parties every year.  Great music, great food and a great cause.
